Linda Lou Godfrey passed away peacefully on April 5, 2023, she was 79 years old. She was born on Aug. 29, 1943, in Safford, Arizona, and was a lifelong resident of the Gila Valley.
Linda was the oldest of four children born to Alvin and Lorrine Eubanks, and is survived by her brother, Tharrel (Glenna) Eubanks, and her sisters, Ann (Leonard) Elmer and Jody (Mitch) O’Rourke.
She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to do cross-stitch and crocheting but her favorite hobby was camping and fishing with her husband Ben and her only child, Butch.
Linda was blessed with five granddaughters and 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way from this small family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lorrine Allred Eubanks and Alvin Thomas Eubanks; her husband, Ben, and her son, Butch.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place immediately following the services in the Pima Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association through their website.
