Obituary for Karen Sue Hale

Karen Sue Hale, of Pima, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 3, 2020.  Karen was born on April 4, 1952, in Safford, to Emery Needom Hale and Evia Boydston Hale, with siblings Sharon, Sandra, Emery, Shiela, Lisa, and Karole.

Karen graduated from Pima High School in 1970 and went on to Eastern Arizona College, graduating in 1989, where she earned her Associates’s degree in business.  She enjoyed going to school.

Karen was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Kristi, and enjoyed being a homemaker where she could spend more time with her teaching her all of her homemaking skills.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as often as she could.  Karen often said “Family is everything”, and she meant it.  She was also known to say “Looking good for a Friday”.  Karen loved to go to Disneyland and spend time with her three grandbabies.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristi; her mother, Evia Hale; her siblings, Sharon (Tom) Whitmire, Sandra (Bruce) Klajda, Karole (Butch) Ward, Emery (Kim) Hale, Sheila (Bud) Sawyer, and Lisa (Vince) Kieffer; her three grandbabies, Lane, Landon, and Lakelyn, and her dog, Lil Girl.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Emery Hale.

A viewing for Karen will be held Tuesday evening, Oct. 6, from 6 until 7 p.m. at the McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 7, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Pima Cemetery.
