Justus Isaiah Villalba, formerly of Safford, passed away May 16, 2019, in Mesa, at the age of 24. He was born June 3, 1994, in Safford, to Johnny Villalba and Jane Lucero Villalba; with siblings, John, Jessica, and Jacqueline.
Justus went to schools in the Safford School District, graduating from Safford High School in 2012. He loved music and won the best guitarist award in the 2014 Battle of the Bands here in Safford. Justus also played the cello and piano. He also loved to play billiards and was a huge SMASH Melee fan.
He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Jane Villalba; siblings, John (Gabriella) Villalba, Jessica Villalba, and Jacque (Tyler) Larson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The viewing, recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass were held Wednesday, May 22, at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Father Robert Rodriguez as Celebrant.
