Guillermo “Billy” Ramirez Gonzales, of Solomon, entered into rest on Dec. 11, 2021, at the age of 81, with his family by his side. He was born in Solomonville, Arizona, on April 12, 1940, to his parents, Guillermo and Lucia Gonzales. He married the love of his life, Janice, on Jan. 17, 1976, and made their home in Solomon, where they raised their family together.
Billy worked many years in construction and after his retirement, he worked pridefully as a custodian at the Safford School District. He loved all the staff that he had the opportunity to work with.
Billy loved going cruising, fishing, and an occasional cold one. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Billy is survived by his sons, Ronnie and Michael; his stepson, Jeff; his brothers, Angel Gonzales, and Bobby Gonzales, and his sisters, Maria Canalles and Corina Vega. He is also survived by his two nieces that he helped to raise, Karen Peru, and Roberta Koerber; his granddaughters, Adamy Holmes and Essence Montoya, and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Guillermo and Lucia Gonzales; his stepson, Curtis; his beloved wife, Janice Gonzales, and his brother, Alfredo Gonzales.
A memorial will be held at a later date with his nephew, Father John Gonzales, officiating services.
