Gary L. Norton, 68, was born Oct. 14, 1954, and went to be with our Lord on Jan. 3, 2023, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (Good) and Norman Norton; brother, Laddy Norton, and sisters, Sherry and Polly Norton.
Gary is survived by his wife, Deborah (Townzen) Norton; stepdaughter, Jessica Stephens, and grandson, Conner (Cricket), of the home, and sons, Randy and Colter Norton. Surviving brothers and sisters are Edna (Jake) Lopez, Latrina (Chris) Pate, Fay (Buttons) Webb, Norman Norton (Jr.), and Terry (Monica) Norton.
Gary met his lovely wife Deborah in 1993 and two years later they were married. The happy couple raised Jessica and Cricket, Gary’s pride in life was spending quality time with Cricket. Gary also enjoyed his work with the American Legion where he proudly served on the Honor Guard and was on the House Committee. He enjoyed helping the Women’s Auxiliary and wherever he was needed. He truly enjoyed helping others and so graciously did with a smile.
