Obituary for Emma Bertoldo

Emma Bertoldo entered into rest on Oct. 15, 2022, at Haven of Globe.

Emma was born on May 12, 1937, in San Jose, Arizona. She worked in the fields picking cotton as a young girl, and later in the retail business. Later on in life, she moved to Globe, Arizona, and was a bartender at Los Amigos. Thereafter she was a stay-at-home mom. In 1987 she moved back to Thatcher for nine years and then moved to Safford until 2022.

Emma loved to dance, drink her margaritas, and listen to Country and Spanish/Mexican music. She made sure to leave behind the memories and lessons of how important it was for her kids to be clean, and tidy, and to take care of things. Emma did things on her terms, and how she liked things done. She will be missed greatly. Her kids will continue to love their feisty momma and thank her for the life she gave them.

She is survived by her sisters, Manuela (Nellie) Hernandez, Delfina Sáenz, and Margarita (Margie) Bertoldo; children, Frank Mena (son), Vincent (Angela) Mena (son), and Michelle Perez (daughter). She had five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Proceeded by Sylvia Urrea (sister), Jose Bertoldo (brother), and grandson Liam Mena. May she forever rest in paradise keeping it clean. Love you mom.
