Obituary for Don E. Richins

Don E Richins, 72, of Duncan, passed away on Aug. 9, 2019. Don was born Feb. 2, 1947, to Adrian and Vivian (Ferrin) Richins in Safford.

Don graduated from Duncan High School in 1965. After graduation, he attended Eastern Arizona College. He married Glenda (Bonine) (1966-1991).  He married Janell (Broadhead) in 1992. Don was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an amazing grandfather and loved to spend time with all of his grandchildren. He loved to ride horses, fly airplanes, ride four-wheelers, and he was amazing at turning scrap and horseshoes into new and creative inventions and works of art.

Papa Don loved to say that he’d never met a stranger. If you talked to him for more than five minutes, you were invited to the farm and became part of the family. This kind and loving cowboy will be missed every day. How grateful we are to have known him in this life and look forward to being with him in the next.
