Obituary for Debra Bolinger

Debra Dyanne Bolinger, of Safford, passed away on Feb. 5, 2022. She came into this world feet first, fast, and hit the ground running on Aug. 26, 1976, to Albert and Diane Thornton.

As a child, their family moved around a lot until making Duncan their home. Debra graduated from Duncan High School in 1994. She had numerous jobs throughout her life. The two jobs she loved the most were the assistant manager at Love’s, in Lordsburg, New Mexico, and senior clerk for the leaching department at Freeport-McMoran in Morenci, Arizona.

Debra met her soulmate, Ronnie in 2004, and they were married in Las Vegas in June of 2005. Debra never had children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.

Debra is proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents, Jerden and Ruby Thornton, and Cecil and O’Dell Reynolds; her father, Albert E. Thornton; her dad Frank A. Diddio, and two brothers, Michael and Thomas Diddio.

Debra is survived by her beloved husband, Ronnie Bolinger; her mother, Diane Diddio; her brother, Michael (Tiffany) Thornton; Laurie and Joel Valencia, and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also leaves behind her best friend of 30 years, Kim Wehrs, and Wehrs’ two sons, Jesse Herrin and Tyler Herrin, whom Debra loved as her own.

Debra would like us to remember that even though your grief today may overwhelm you, put your faith above your fears and don’t worry about her. Her battle with cancer is done and she is reunited with God and her family.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at the McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
