Daniel Rios, 36, of Safford, entered into eternal rest Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, in Frisco, Texas.
Daniel was born in Safford on Dec. 13, 1984, to George and Rosie (Dominguez) Rios. After graduating from Safford High School in 2003, Daniel attended a semester at the University of Arizona. He attended the police academy and worked as a peace officer for more than a year. He then went on to work for Southwest Energy in Morenci before leaving to finish his bachelor’s degree.

During and after this time, he continued working for the city of Safford, where he had worked in the water, gas, and IT departments. Daniel loved playing/watching sports and the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and taking ranger rides with his family. He also had a love for the Dallas Cowboys. Daniel was one of a kind, the life of the party, always making time for everyone he knew or just met. He had an infectious smile and laugh.
