Charles Edwin Pittman, co-owner of Safford Beauty College and Master Touch Barber College, passed away on Dec. 31, 2021, at the age of 78. Charles E. Pittman was born in Hominy, Oklahoma, on Feb. 21, 1943, to Marjorie Ruth Guffy Pittman and Grady Grant Pittman.
He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1960.
Charles was honest, honorable, and hardworking. Any job given to him was done with skill and perfection. He took much pride in that fact. He fought hard with his head up high to the very end. To know him you would expect nothing less.
Charles is survived by his wife, Freddie Pittman, and his four children, Katrina Willis, Kurtis Pittman, Kristopher Pittman, and Erin Pittman.
He passed peacefully and on his own terms taking the year 2021 out with a bang and probably smiling with great satisfaction in that fact.
Every day you will be thought of and missed. Now rest and know you are very loved.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring.
