Obituary for Charles ‘Chuck’ Dale Littleton

Charles Dale (Dorland) “Chuck” Littleton, passed away suddenly Dec. 13, 2018, in Tucson, at the age of 55.  He was born in Phoenix, on Feb. 1, 1963.

Growing up, Chuck excelled in athletics, earning many distinctions, including All-State Defensive Lineman. After graduating from Safford High School in 1981, he served in the United States Army from 1982 until 1984 in Germany as part of the 36th Infantry, where he earned expert badges for hand grenade and M-16. Following his military service, Chuck trained in auto paint and body, eventually starting his own business, Southwest Collision Repair, in Silver City, New Mexico. He also was an expert cook and grill man who enjoyed entertaining countless friends, neighbors, and business associates.  He was an incredible charismatic and generous individual who treated strangers as good friends.

Chuck is survived by two sons, Kaiden and Toby, of Safford; siblings, Frank (Cindy) Littleton of Rockport, Texas, George (Cheryl) Ratliff, of Silver City, Jerry (Vangie) Ratliff, of Kearney, William (Mikki) Lane and Debbie Reed of Las Vegas; five nephews; six nieces; and several grand-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Chuck will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Life City Church at 3754 S. Highway 191 in Safford.
