Arlene Provencio

Arlene Provencio was born on Sept. 6, 1953, to her loving parents, Robert and Natalia Romero. She was born in Los Angeles, California, and later moved to Clifton, Arizona, in 1977. Arlene had eight siblings; Sam, Gloria, Barbara, Sylvia, Jerry, Rosemary, Roseanna, and Lisa.

On April 29, 1978, Arlene married her eternal companion, Patrick Provencio. They then had children of their own, Patrick, Philip, Paul, and Peter. Arlene and her husband have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arlene loved to crochet in her free time, spend time with family, take trips to the casino, and watch the Arizona Cardinals play football. She was an excellent cook and loved to make meals for her family’s birthdays and gatherings. Her enchiladas were legendary. She was described as being very special. She was loved and well-liked by everyone. She was religious and devoted to God. Arlene always had everyone hold hands and pray with her at special gatherings.

She is survived by her children, Patrick (Jennifer), Philip (Donna), Paul (Avilene), and Peter; siblings, Sam, Gloria, Sylvia, Jerry, Rosemary, Roseanna, and Lisa, and her grandchildren, Denicia, Patrick III, Gabriela, Philip II, Esperanza, John, Lyliana, Paul II, and her three great-grandchildren.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Natalia Romero; her sister, Barbara, and her granddaughter, Samantha Rose Provencio.

A visitation will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, with the Funeral Service to follow at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church located at 1020 S. 10th Ave. Safford, Arizona 85546. Interment will take place after the service at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Clifton, Arizona.
