GRAHAM COUNTY – The Graham County School Superintendent hereby notifies the registered voters of Graham County that candidate packets for School District Governing Boards are available. Candidate packets may be picked up in the Graham County School Superintendent’s Office at 921 Thatcher Blvd. Safford, Arizona. The office is open Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Candidates must file a Statement of Interest prior to collecting any signatures. This document is included in the candidate packet.
Candidates may file their non-partisan nomination paperwork beginning June 8, 2026. The deadline for filing the nomination paperwork is July 6, 2026, by 5 p.m. for the Nov. 3, 2026, General Election. All school district governing board nomination paperwork must be filed in the Graham County School Superintendent’s Office. All other special district nomination packets, such as the Graham County Community (Eastern Arizona College) District Governing Board, fire districts, hospital districts, etc., are available in the Graham County Board of Supervisors’ Office, also located at 921 W. Thatcher Blvd., Safford.
The following seats expire on Dec. 31, 2026:

Bonita School District #16: Two seats
Fort Thomas Unified School District #7: Two seats
Gila Institute for Technology #2 (GIFT): Three Graham County seats – Fort Thomas, Solomon, and Pima
Klondyke School District #9: One seat
Pima Unified School District #6: Two seats
Safford Unified School District #1: Two seats
Solomon School District #5: Three seats
Thatcher Unified School District #4: Two seats
