SAFFORD – Those with the Boys and Girls Club of the Gila Valley are filled with joy to announce the recent addition of Nicholas Nordgran-Tellez to their team in the role of Resource Development Coordinator. The creation of this new position aims to strengthen the organization’s public outreach and attract new sponsors, donors, funders, and grant opportunities.

Nicholas will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research to identify potential institutional funders and expand the organization’s portfolio of funders. This strategic approach will ensure that the Boys and Girls Club maintains a diverse funding base, enabling them to continue providing invaluable services to the community.

“We are excited to have Nick join our team as the RDC,” said Mick Ruiz, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of the Gila Valley. “With Nick’s help, we will further our mission and ensure that we can continue making a positive impact on the children and families in our community.”

Nicholas previously served as the President of the Boys and Girls Club board before stepping down to take on this new position.

“The opportunity to continue my work and commitment to the movement is more than what I could have imagined,” he said. “One of the most rewarding aspects of the Resource Development Coordinator is the building of the enduring donors relationships for the club’s continued success. While I have long been a supporter of the club in different roles, the new position comes with an added sense of purpose and fulfillment. I am putting to good use my skills and knowledge acquired over decades of hospitality customer service to benefit The Boys & Girls Club of the Gila Valley. It is a great place to put one’s efforts indeed and I am more than happy to do it again.”
