GRAHAM COUNTY – A woman whose family reported her missing after she checked out of a drug rehabilitation center in Globe has been located.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, the grandmother of the missing person advised deputies on Jan. 22 that her granddaughter had checked herself out of a drug rehab in Globe and left her vehicle and all her items behind. The grandmother said she had traveled to Globe to retrieve the vehicle and items but could not locate her granddaughter. She said she was especially worried about her because she was taking care of her granddaughter’s four children while she was away.

A deputy attempted to locate the missing woman and was informed by the rehab center that she had checked out three days prior with a male subject who was her boyfriend. The deputy was given a phone number and contacted the male subject, who advised that the woman had been staying with him in Globe. The deputy then requested the male subject to ask the woman to give her grandmother a call.

The deputy informed the grandmother of the situation and also advised her that she could go to the courts and file for emergency custody of the children if she deemed it necessary.
