SAFFORD – Mount Graham Regional Medical Center is committed to continually enhancing our patient experience. A new location for Mt. Graham Surgical Associates, a department of MGRMC, will help with that.
We are excited to have Mt. Graham Surgical Associates be the first to move into our new Medical Office Complex (MOC). They will later be accompanied by Copper Mountain Clinic, MGRMC’s family medicine clinic, by the end of the first quarter in 2022.
Two more suites in the building will be filled later that year; it is undetermined by who at this time. Mt. Graham Surgical Associates started seeing patients in their new office Tuesday, June 29. This move has nearly doubled their office in size, increasing their square footage from 2,379 square feet to 4,700 square feet. They were also able to double the number of exam rooms going from three to six and now include one procedure room where minor procedures can be performed.
This new space has heightened the patient experience and will account for the growth that Mt. Graham Surgical Associates has seen over the last several years. The new facility boasts a warm and spacious atmosphere, including new, state-of-the-art medical equipment, ensuring that our patients are comfortable from start to finish.
Mt. Graham Surgical Associates is home to two general surgeons, Dr. Bart Carter MD, FACS, and Dr. Jorden Marble, MD. Both were born and raised here. They each have said they moved home to raise their families and serve the community they love. Dr. Carter has served our valley as a board-certified general surgeon since 1995. He was the only general surgeon until Dr. Marble moved home in August of 2020 and joined the MGRMC family as our second board-certified general surgeon. Dr. Carter and Dr. Marble are highly trained and offer a full array of surgical procedures; most procedures are taken care of inside the OR in the main hospital building, while minor procedures can now be taken care of in the new procedure room inside Mt. Graham Surgical Associates office. Many may not know this, but Mount Graham Regional Medical Center is a level IV Trauma Center, where Dr. Carter is the Trauma Program Medical Director.
Both Dr. Carter and Dr. Marble share and respond to trauma calls that come in from our community. We are fortunate to have them both and the four incredible ladies who work hard to keep their office running and ensure every patient has nothing short of an excellent experience every time they walk through those doors. So, stop by and see Mt. Graham Surgical Associates in their office located in the new building on MGRMC’s campus.
