GRAHAM COUNTY – The Graham County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service regarding a person with missing body parts on Monday.

The man needed medical assistance, however, the deputy advised that the missing toes from his foot appeared to have been from a previous amputation and not recent.

Deputies and paramedics were dispatched at about 11:52 a.m. to a residence on E. San Jose Rd. regarding a welfare check. An anonymous reporting party advised he had gone to the residence to purchase a truck but upon arrival, the occupant wasn’t able to open the door.

The reporting party said the occupant told him to get inside “by any means necessary” so he took the hinges off the door and entered the residence. There he found the victim and called 9-1-1.

When a deputy arrived with paramedics, he recognized the property and occupant and located the resident naked on the floor in a central room of the home. The victim said he had been on the floor for several hours. At that time, the deputy noted what he believed to be a previous amputation of toes from the victim’s foot.

The victim was assisted at the scene by paramedics and transported by Lifeline Ambulance to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
