GRAHAM COUNTY – A man had his vehicle impounded for 30 days after fraudulently claiming it had been stolen.
According to a Graham County Sheriff’s Office report, a man identified as Cesar Cuevas called County Dispatch at about 12:56 a.m. on Saturday advising that his vehicle was stolen.
While a deputy was taking the report from the man, a Thatcher officer located the vehicle driven by K’Ronda McLaughlin.
The deputy informed Cuevas that the vehicle was found with McLaughlin driving it and he advised that he had allowed her to borrow it.
McLaughlin was found to have a revoked driver’s license and was given a citation. At that time, the vehicle was seized on a 30-day impound.
After Cuevas allegedly advised he knew McLaughlin didn’t have a valid driver’s license, he was given a citation for allowing an unauthorized person to drive.
