Library to celebrate ‘Star Wars Day’ on Thursday, May 3

SAFFORD – Do you like everything to do with Star Wars? Then the Safford City-Graham County Library will the place to be Thursday, May 3 as it presents its annual Star Wars Day event.

While the event is normally held May 4 (May the fourth be with you), but since the library is closed Friday, the event was moved to the third.

The entire day is set for Star Wars fun with displays and a photo booth open for viewing and use from 10 a.m – 7 p.m.

There will be Star Wars crafts for children from 2:30 – 6 p.m., the Star Wars Lego Club from 3 – 4:30 p.m., a free showing of Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi from 3:30 – 6 p.m., a meet-and-greet with cosplay actors in Star Wars costumes from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., a Wookie roar competition where people are encouraged to be loud in the library doing their best Chewbacca impersonation from 5 – 5:30 p.m., and the Star Wars trivia competition will wrap from 5:30 – 6 p.m.

So be sure to stop by the Safford City-Graham County Library on Thursday, May 3 to get your Star Wars on, and check out Solo: A Star Wars Story in theaters at the end of May.
