Letter to the Editor: Reader urges resiliency regarding COVID-19

Walt Mares File Photo/Gila Herald: Signs such as this one urge people to wear protective face masks to help protect them from the deadly coronavirus.

Dear Editor,

Let us talk about COVID-19 as it makes its second round.

The seriousness of it by close to 40 percent of the population no longer takes it seriously anymore in America. I have heard this statement by many saying, “If I get it I will recover and move on where I won’t have to worry about it anymore.” Then another statement is, “It is what it is. If the President of the United States of America can get and get over it so quickly then I should be able to as well.”

What I find wrong with both of these statements is you may be fine but the next person you might pass it on to may not have the same results as you. People, if you get anything from this disease get this! Masks will slow the spread of this virus and save lives.

Let us all be the best that our Father in Heaven has called us to be and if you aren’t Godly do it for mankind.
