SAFFORD – The Mount Graham Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is celebrating National Volunteers Month with a springtime raffle, a bake sale, discounted merchandise in the hospital gift shop for members of the community who are active volunteers, and a lobby display highlighting the Auxiliary’s activities over the last few years.

There are three raffle items to select from: a six burner Nexgrill propane grill with a cover and meat thermometer probe donated by an anonymous friend of the MGRMC Auxiliary, a Yeti Tundra 45 cooler, and a Hammocks Bliss set of two canopied lounge chairs and table with cup holders, both donated by Max Hinton of Hinton Taxidermy and Meat Processing. Raffle tickets are on sale in the hospital gift shop for $2 each or six for $10 throughout April. The winning tickets will be drawn April 30.

The bake sale will be held April 19, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the MGRMC board room across from the gift shop and outside in the hospital’s memorial garden. There will be plenty of baked goods to choose from to eat on the spot or to take home to enjoy.

All local volunteers are encouraged to visit the gift shop during the week of April 15-20 to take advantage of a generous one-time celebration discount: 25 percent off one item or 10 percent off the total purchase.

First Vice President and Membership Chair Lori Monteith encourages everyone to visit the hospital in April to help celebrate volunteerism in our community and consider becoming members of the Auxiliary. Applications to join us are available in the gift shop and at the information desk in the lobby.
