She commented on her professional preparation that led to this latest career move, “My professional journey began as a Recreation Specialist for Freeport McMoran’s company events and programs. In 2014, I began working for the Greenlee County Health Department. I’ve had the opportunity to work in just about every aspect of the Health Department, from organizing wellness programs to health inspections and every other opportunity that came my way to serve my community. Along the way, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in applied business management from Grand Canyon University. What a great opportunity this is to bring my knowledge, experience, and passion to help foster positive community interaction and celebration.”

Regarding her new role with the county, Justine observed, “I want to build on the successes we’ve enjoyed in the past and continue to transform our programs to increase our reach and find new ways to invite the entire county to participate in community-building experiences. I am excited to collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and residents to create events that showcase the best of Greenlee County.”

Said County Administrator Derek Rapier, “I’ve had the privilege to work with Justine for many years at the county and have observed firsthand her eagerness and determination. No task is too big for her, and her smile never leaves her face. I’m excited to watch her apply her instinctive positivity in a new direction, and I feel confident she will bring fresh energy and great ideas to this position.”

Justine will begin her new assignment on Monday, April 21, and her home base will be the Greenlee County Fairgrounds office. We invite you to reach out with your ideas and suggestions, or just to say hello!
