Hispanic Heritage events to be held in September

GRAHAM COUNTY – The annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration and Scholarship Fundraiser will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Eastern Arizona College Activities Center. 

This is the annual event that raises funds for its scholarship awards. Admission for the 3 p.m. event is $15 per ticket and will include a special performance by mariachi Aguilas De Las Cruces and the dance group Folklorico. 

The 6 p.m. event is $55 per ticket and will include dinner along with performances by Aguilas De Las Cruces and Folklorico. 

To purchase advanced seating/tickets, call either (928) 965-9775 or (928) 215-2118. The event is presented by EAC and the Eastern Arizona Hispanic Heritage Corp. 

To help jump-start the fundraiser, a free Hispanic Heritage kick-off event will be held Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Eastern Arizona College Activities Center, starting at 10 a.m. The event will include a special performance by Mariachi Trio V and the choir group Coro Mensajero, as well as guest speakers and a presentation of the flag by the American Legion. 

Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage with the kickoff event at EAC on Thursday, Sept. 16, and then the main event on Saturday, Sept. 25.
