Hard Freeze Warning issued for Graham County on Wednesday

GRAHAM COUNTY – The National Weather Service has issued a Hard Freeze Warning for portions of Graham and Cochise counties.

The hard freeze warning will be in effect from 11 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, through 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.  

Additionally, a wind advisory with gusts up to 55 mph also remains in effect Tuesday night until Wednesday.

For the hard freeze, expect sub-freezing temperatures as low as 10 degrees. Take the necessary steps now to protect plants from the cold. Additionally, outdoor water pipes should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those with in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
