Greenlee County announces new COVID-19 related death

CLIFTON – The Greenlee County Health Department announced a new COVID-19 related death on Sunday, bringing the county’s total to three.

The new death was from a resident from the Duncan area – making two from Duncan and one from Clifton. The most recent death was a resident over the age of 70.

In addition to the death, the health department also confirmed seven new positive tests, putting the county at 234 for the course of the pandemic.

As of Sunday, Greenlee has given 2,580 tests with 2,346 negatives and 234 positives. The county lists 114 active cases, 117 recovered cases, and now three deaths.

The health department advises people to wear a mask in public, keep their distance from others, wash your hands frequently, and stay at home if you feel sick.
