Graham County adds another COVID-19 death

GRAHAM COUNTY – A Thatcher resident over the age of 65 has become the 78th resident of Graham County whose death has been attributed to COVID-19. 

The Graham County Department of Health and Human Services announced the death and six new positive tests (three in the Pima zip code which includes Bylas, and three in the Safford zip code which includes parts of incorporated Graham County). 

Graham County currently has 102 confirmed “active” cases. For the totality of the pandemic, the county has had 5,552 confirmed cases, with 5,372 recovered and 78 deaths. 

Graham County is administering COVID-19 vaccines to anyone 18 and older. The county currently utilizes both the two-shot Moderna vaccine and the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Click here to register to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.  

Nearly 25 percent of Graham County has been vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.
