Gila County Emergency Planning Committee this Thursday

GLOBE – First responders constantly prepare for disasters – local, county, state, and national level threats are on the agenda Sept. 7 (Thursday) at the historic 1916 Train Depot in Globe when the Gila County Local Emergency Planning Committee convenes for its annual conference from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Lunch will be catered by Gila Hogs and is free and included. 

Thursday’s agenda opens at 9 a.m., with a welcome by consultant Seth Pruess, then Michele Martinez of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality will discuss spill reporting – before discussion of the hazardous materials response plan.  

Speakers after lunch include Rio Rico Fire’s Frank Granados.
