GILA COUNTY – A recent resignation leaves the Gila County Provisional College District with a vacancy representing District #5, which includes East Globe, San Carlos, Canyon Day, and Carrizo. District Governing Board meetings are generally held online on the second Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m., and members of the public are welcome to attend the online meetings.
Janet Brocker serves as board president; members include Connie Cockrell, Fernando Shipley, and Kurt Knauss.
The deadline for applications for the District #5 position is Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. Interviews are planned for Dec. 4-8, with appointment to the board by Jan. 2, 2024.
