Freeze warning issued

GRAHAM AND GREENLEE COUNTIES – The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the Gila River Valley, including Safford and Clifton. The warning is in effect beginning early Thursday morning Nov. 7 at 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. and from Thursday night from 10 p.m. until Friday morning at 9 a.m. 

The freeze warning advises temperatures could drop as low as 28 degrees. Frost could damage crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage outdoor plumbing. Take precautionary steps now to protect plants, animals, and outdoor plumbing.
