SAFFORD – On Monday, former Safford City Councilman and candidate for U.S. House of Representatives AZ-01 Chris Taylor announced his endorsement for Nolan Redhead.
Taylor suspended his campaign after suffering a substance abuse relapse and was briefly hospitalized. Soon after, he also resigned from his position on the volunteer Safford Fire Department and from the Safford City Council, a position he was initially elected to with the highest vote tally of any of those running.
Taylor posted this endorsement on social media:
“I am proud to announce my full support and endorsement for Nolan Reidhead in the Republican Primary for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District on Aug. 4, 2020.
Nolan is a successful and accomplished attorney, a man of great faith, and someone who truly cares about our great nation and the citizens of Arizona. Nolan is an honorable person worthy of our support. I’ve found him to be decent, respectful and caring. I believe his intentions are pure and his decision to run for Congress is completely selfless. He’s a humble man with a sincere desire to make our nation and state a better place for the rising generation.

Nolan will fight to protect America’s divinely inspired constitution, most importantly he will defend religious freedom, freedom of speech and our God-given right to keep and bear arms so that we can always defend ourselves and our families in these days of increasing turmoil and chaos.

Reidhead is campaigning for the Republican nomination for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. Other unofficial candidates include Tiffany Shedd, Juan Smith, Doyel Shamley, and John Moore.
The current Democratic incumbent, Tom O’Halleran is running for re-election. Other unofficial candidates on the Democratic side include Eva Putzova and Larry Williams.
