GILA COUNTY – Gila County invites community feedback on the recently adopted short-term rental ordinance.

Ordinance No. 2023-08 is aimed at permitting and regulating vacation rental and short-term rental uses in the unincorporated areas of Gila County. Short-term rentals include those such as VRBO and Airbnb.

Gila County’s short-term rental ordinance was created to address concerns brought to the attention of the Board of Supervisors by Gila County residents.  Since adopting the ordinance, many additional and valid concerns from owners of short-term rentals have been brought to the County’s attention.

This survey is a way for Gila County to utilize data to better evaluate the magnitude of the concerns of our community and residents in addition to the concerns of short-term rental owners. This survey can be completed online via the website here or by filling out a printed hard copy at your local library, senior center, or the Gila County Community Development Departments located in Globe and Payson.
