Column By Mike Bibb
Columnist John Young’s latest liberal rant pretty much sums up the Left’s response to Kamala’s disappointing election showing: When all else fails, refuse to accept the reality of the situation — “Don’t let the bastards get comfortable.”
Let me see, Young has added another disparaging term to a growing list of slams Trump’s supporters have been called — Deplorables, Nazis, Racists, and now Bastards.
Not certain if Mr. Young was born to a single mother or had a dad and mom raise him. He says he did. But apparently, he must believe most of Trump’s fans are bastards. Which, according to Nov. 5 election results number about 75 million.
However, Young was consistent in accepting his party’s inclination to blame Kam’s loss on everyone but themselves. As if, somehow, she was unbeatable because Trump was a deranged madman who no one would possibly vote for.
Excepting deplorables, Nazis, racists, bastards, and other crazies.
That’s okay. Longtime newspaperman John Young is certainly entitled to his opinion. It conflicts with a big chunk of voters who don’t agree, but that’s the way elections go.
Win some, lose some and some get rained out — as the saying goes. Still, don’t believe I’ve ever heard a losing player when shaking the winning opponent’s hand, congratulate him with “Good game, you bastard. I’ll get ya next time!”
Seems kind of petty and lacking good sportsmanship.
Maybe his Mom or Dad neglected to instill this bit of respect in little John’s psyche. After all, they voted for Nixon — while 7-year-old Johnny pulled for JFK.
Perhaps, they did, and it just didn’t take. A hint of things to come.
Now, to reinforce his liberal-leaning inclinations, John regularly reads — he lets us know — the Huffington Post, Washington Post, New York Times, and Denver Post, and listens to the political geniuses on CNN recite their daily babble and monotonous Trump hate speech.
Nothing like starting the day with a good dose of Lefty lunacy. Followed by an imaginary ride on a horse called Analogy.
Out of sympathy, I can almost feel his pain. It’s no fun to lose, regardless of the score or mismatch of the contestants.
Nevertheless, a knockout is still a knockout, and no one is going to believe otherwise, regardless of the excuses.
The irrational replacement of Democrat Presidential candidate President Joe Biden with his clueless Vice President Kamala Harris was one of the most boneheaded blunders in American history.
Especially, when there were less than six months before the November election. Certainly, not enough time for Kam to figure out what’s been going on for the past three and a half years.
Then, to seal a Republican victory, Kamala wanders off on a tangent about how Trump is Hitler incarnate, and his goose-stepping zealots are a prelude to the rise of the Fourth Reich.
“Holy Election, Batman, how absurd can the DNC get?” a perplexed Robin inquired.
Shaking his head, Batman quickly responded “I don’t know. Let’s get to the Bat Cave to try and sort out this discombobulated mess of political poop before someone suggests the election was rigged.”
When the movie of the 2024 election is released, hope Hollywood remembers it was Kamala who lost and Trump who won.
Not vice versa — though by that time it may be hard to tell!
