PIMA – A collision between a semi-truck and a passenger SUV caused the closure of the westbound lanes of Highway 70 through Pima early Wednesday night.
The collision took place at the intersection of Main Street and Center Street and left the SUV on its side. According to a witness, the driver of the SUV extracted himself from the vehicle shortly after the crash.
Pima Police are leading the investigation, and Pima Fire was dispatched to help deal with the SUV.
No injuries were reported, and both drivers were the only occupants, according to witnesses.
The Graham County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control as the westbound lanes were still being diverted north around the crash as of 5:35 p.m.
