EAC to host a free scholarship event

THATCHER – Do you need cash for college? Eastern Arizona College, in conjunction with the Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley and the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, invites the public to attend a free event that will provide information about college scholarships and financial aid, including Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA).

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., in EAC’s Activities Center.

Scholarship providers in attendance at this event include Eastern Arizona College, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, New Mexico State University, Grand Canyon University, Arizona Community Foundation, Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, Prina Family Scholarship Fund, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Safford High School Foundation, Thatcher High School Scholarship Fund, LBTO Scholarship, Arizona@Work, Daughters of the American Revolution, Gila Health Resources, and Graham County Co-op.

The EAC Financial Aid Office will be on hand to help fill out a FAFSA (Federal Student Aid Application). All students, regardless of age, are encouraged to apply for this federal money. To best help you, please bring parent and student: W2s, tax returns, and social security cards.
