THATCHER – Eastern Arizona College Men’s Basketball Head Coach Cameron Turner has announced the signing of 6’3 freshman combo guard Kaden Ericksen from Syracuse, Utah.

“Kaden is a high-energy player, who loves to compete,”  head coach Cameron Turner said. “Offensively Kaden can score with the best of them. Kaden brings a level of confidence and grit to our team that will translate on and off the court. We are excited to have Kaden and his family joining the Eastern Arizona College program!”

Kaden was one of the most decorated players in his class during his senior year at Syracuse High School. Kaden was, 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-Region, 6A all-star election, Utah top 50 all-star team selection, John Watson Utah Player of the Week, Standard-Examiner: Standard Star, and All-Area 1st team!

“When I stepped on campus it just felt right. I loved the players, the coaches, and the campus,” Ericksen said, “I knew Eastern Arizona was a place that would help me get better and get me to where I want to be.”

Ericksen led Syracuse High School to its best season in school history averaging 17 ppg, 5 rpg, 3 apg, and 2.5 spg as a senior. He will join a program that saw a lot of success under head coach Cameron Turner’s leadership in year one, including a 20-win season for the first time since 2008, a 21-10 overall record (14-2 home), and a trip to the region 1 semifinals. #GoMonsters
