Thatcher – The anticipated lecture in the Discovery Park Lecture Series, titled “Constellations: A Study of Stars and Mythology,” is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., amidst the ambiance of the flag circle, at Discovery Park.
Astronomer and mythologist, Bob Hiatt, will guide attendees through an exploration of celestial wonders and their connections to ancient mythology. Through his engaging narrative, Hiatt promises to delve into the remarkable tales of the gods, unraveling their adventures and occasional misadventures, as immortalized in the twinkling constellations above.
The lecture will provide a unique opportunity for both astronomy enthusiasts and mythology aficionados to deepen their understanding of the night sky. Attendees will have the chance to gather under the vast expanse of the starlit heavens, surrounded by the captivating beauty of southeastern Arizona’s night sky.
