THATCHER — Eastern Arizona College’s Choral Music Department will present its 40th annual Spring Sing, entitled Found, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 25-27, at 7:30 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Spring Sing is produced and directed by EAC choir director Gideon Burrows and will feature performances from EACompany, Men’s Chorus, A Cappella Choir, Fourté, and GuyZ, along with the Women’s Chorale conducted by Chase Moore, EAC associate professor of music.

The music programmed takes the listener on a journey through hardship, longing, sorrow, and discovery toward peace, hope, and home. Some of the selections include rediscovered favorites such as a medley of Irving Berlin show tunes, the jazz standard “Birdland,” world folk music including the traditional Israeli tune “Ose Shalom,” and “O salutaris hostia” by European composer Ēriks Ešenvalds, spirituals along with Nathan Bigler’s arrangement of “Wayfaring Stranger,” and many more.

Tickets are $5 per person and full-time EAC students will be admitted free with student ID. Reserved seating is available for the front section by calling ahead to EAC’s Ticket Office at (928) 428-8228.
