THATCHER –The Eastern Arizona College (EAC) Chamber Orchestra invites the community to enjoy an evening of music as they present the 28th annual Starlight Strings Concert titled “Long Live Rock and Roll.” The free concert will be Wednesday, Oct. 2,, at 7 p.m. in the College’s Activities Center – Lee Little Theater.
Under the direction of Franklin Alvarez, the EAC Chamber Orchestra will perform a selection of iconic rock and roll classics. Alvarez expressed his excitement about the event, saying, “This will be an enjoyable concert, and we hope it will create long-lasting memories for those attending. This is the twenty-eighth annual Starlight Strings concert, and we’re excited to present something a little different this year.”
The program will feature a variety of beloved hits by legendary artists, including Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga, Led Zeppelin, and many more. “The performance is aimed at people of all ages,” Alvarez added. “If you are a great fan of old good classic rock, then this concert is for you. I invite you to bring the family to experience and enjoy this iconic music.”
