Cornhole tournament to benefit St. Vincent de Paul on Saturday, October 14

Staff Reports

GRAHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS – If you think your corn hole game is on point, then head over to the Graham County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 14 for “Bags Flying For Hope” and take home bragging rights while helping those in the community.

The tournament is a switcholio round-robin style at the Freeport Pavilion at the Graham County Fairgrounds, with registration starting at 8 a.m. and bags starting to fly at 9 a.m.

The event is a fundraiser for St. Vincent de Paul’s Safford food pantry, with all proceeds going to them.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. The Safford location also has a thrift store. Proceeds from those sales go toward tangible assistance for those in need. At its heart, St. Vincent de Paul brings those who need assistance in contact with assistance that is available.

But it’s not just corn hole at the tournament as there will be raffles, live music, food trucks, and more! Entry is just $20 per person, and $20 is the new $5, so that’s a pretty good deal to strut your stuff and see who is the king/queen of corn hole in the area.
