PIMA – Rainbow trout stocking is being temporarily suspended at Pond # 3 within the Cluff Ranch Wildlife Area so that the Arizona Game and Fish Department can take advantage of lower water levels there to replace a dam valve.

The pond water level is low because of little monsoon rains this season. Trout that otherwise would have been stocked there are being diverted to Roper Lake and Dankworth Pond.

Stocking at Cluff Ranch will likely resume in the spring. The new Community Fishing Program water at the Graham County Fairgrounds is also an option for trout angling.
