SAFFORD – A Safford couple was admonished for their indecency when their copulation in a vehicle parked at a church disturbed parishioners.
Safford officers were dispatched at about 3:07 p.m. on Dec. 22, 2023, to the First Methodist Church at 1020 S. 10th Ave. regarding a male and female having sex in a vehicle in the church’s parking lot.
According to a Safford Police report, upon arrival, officers located the female performing oral sex on the male inside the vehicle. The officers separated the couple and advised them that they should not be doing such things in public.
After verifying with the churchgoers that they did not see the man’s genitals, the couple was allowed to leave and was advised to not return to the property.
