SAFFORD – The Safford City/Graham County Library is, once again, hosting a free concert for young children.  This year, its guest artist is Jim Gill from Chicago.  He comes to the Gila Valley with decades of experience in early childhood entertainment and has traveled all over the country performing for small children and their families.

This free concert for children ages newborn – 5 and their caregivers is on Wednesday, March 29, at 10 a.m. in the David M. Player Center for the Arts at Safford High School.

A free autographed copy of his children’s book, May There Always Be Sunshine, will be available to families while supplies last.

Jim Gill is brought to Graham and Greenlee counties through generous contributions from the Safford City/Graham County Library, First Things First, the Friends of the Safford Library, Gila Valley Arts Council, the Graham County Superintendent’s Office, Greenlee County Superintendent’s Office, and United Way.

Tickets are not required for this event and seating is on a first-come first served basis.  Doors will open about half an hour before the curtain.  For more information, contact Elizabeth Henley, Early Literacy Coordinator at the Safford Library, at (928) 432-4153.
