Eastern Arizona College, the Arizona Community Foundation of the Gila Valley and United Way of Graham & Greenlee Counties are proud to sponsor the 5th annual Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Night on Monday, Jan. 13 at Eastern Arizona College’s Gherald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center. This free event is an opportunity for Greenlee and Graham County students, families, and educators to learn more about post-secondary scholarships available for both traditional and non-traditional college students.

Many different college, state, and local scholarship organizations will be present to answer questions and share information about seeking financial support for college expenses. There will be different breakout sessions to discuss topics like filling out the FAFSA form, how to write a scholarship essay, and many other needed skills need to succeed in winning scholarship dollars. Last year’s event had more than 300 Graham and Greenlee County high school students and parents in attendance. Attendees of this year’s event will be eligible to raffle prizes and an Eastern Arizona College Book Scholarship.

The 2020 Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Night will be held Monday, Jan. 13, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Eastern Arizona College’s Gherald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center. The event is free and open to the public. There is no need to register.
