Growing a tradition

DUNCAN – Every year, Greenlee Cowbelles continues a tradition that Daisy May and Joe Cannon felt strongly about, the Bred and Fed class at our county Fair. Daisy always found a way to get a beautiful buckle to be presented to the winner! Sometimes that winner was a senior who was also awarded a scholarship the following spring.
This year, we are expanding that tradition by recognizing the breeder and Bred and Fed Champion. We couldn’t be any more proud of our community that came together to support our youth and major industry in this corner of southeast Arizona.
So, join us at the fair this Thursday, Sept. 19, to crown this year’s champions. We hope that the breeders will be present. If not, the Breeders Award will be on display at the Greenlee Cowbelles booth.
Please join and have fun. Hope to see you there.
