THATCHER – Want to help out amid the COVID-19 crisis but don’t know how? Start by donating blood at the American Red Cross blood drive at Eastern Arizona College on Thursday, April 9.

The drive will take place at the Gherald L. Hoopes Activites Center Dining Hall at 615 N. Stadium Ave. from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.  

The American Red Cross has gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of all donors, staff and volunteers. This is not a mass gathering, it is a regulated event with new standard safety protocol implemented – It is safe to donate blood and considered an essential service. All donors at this drive will receive a free $5 eGift Card to Amazon.com and an ARC T-shirt! This drive stands to make an enormous impact in an unprecedented critical blood shortage, please make your appointment today. As COVID-19 cases rise, the need rises and we can’t save lives without you!

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
