ASU and EAC partner to host community event March 27

By Kris McBride

Thatcher – Arizona State University (ASU) and Eastern Arizona College (EAC) are hosting a fun and informative event for students and community members to learn more about transferring from EAC to ASU. This is a great opportunity for students to explore programs available through ASU@TheGilaValley and learn about transfer pathway programs. Bring your friends and family.

Meet with representatives from a variety of ASU majors, connect with a transfer admission specialist and network with current ASU students. Information sessions will be available to learn about ASU academic programs, applying to ASU and the student experience.

ASU Day at EAC

When: Wednesday, March 27
Time: 2 – 7 p.m.
Where: Eastern Arizona College 615 N. Stadium Ave.

Transfer pathway programs

Learn more about the Transfer Admission Guarantee, or TAG, which helps students plan their college course work to ensure a smooth transition to ASU and maximize transfer credits. And, find out about the AAS to BAS program, which is ideal for students with an AAS degree who want to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Through the ASU@TheGilaValley partnership, students take college courses from EAC, then transfer to ASU and enroll in university courses without relocating. There are five separate degree options.

  *   Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Leadership (BAS)
  *   Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership (BA)
  *   Bachelor of Arts in Education in Secondary Education (BAE)
  *   Bachelor of Arts in Education in Special Education and Elementary Education (BAE)
