Another Safford resident’s death attributed to COVID-19 for the second consecutive day

A Pima resident's death has been contributed to COVID-19.

SAFFORD – For the second consecutive day, the Graham County Department of Health and Human Services have announced a Safford death from COVID-19. 

The health department reported a Safford resident between the ages of 55-64 as the latest death, which increased the total to 79. 

As of Tuesday, the total confirmed cases for Graham County is 5,554, with 5,372 listed as recovered, 103 currently active cases, and 79 deaths. 

On Tuesday, the health department listed two new positive tests – one for the Pima zip code and one for the Safford zip code. 

The Graham County Department of Health and Human Services is offering free COVID-19 vaccines – both the two-shot Moderna vaccine and one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine – to anyone 18 and older. Click here to register to receive a vaccine.
