Another Safford death attributed to COVID-19

SAFFORD – On Saturday, the Graham County Department of Health and Human Services announced that another Safford resident’s death had been contributed to COVID-19, bringing the total dead in Graham County from the pandemic to date to 35.

The deceased was a Safford resident over the age of 65. No other information was released.

The GCDHHS also advised of 26 new positive tests on Saturday, 14 from Safford, nine from Thatcher, two from Pima, and one from the San Carlos Apache Tribe. The new tests give the county a total of 2,158 positive tests since the start of the pandemic in March, with 1,147 recovered people, 976 currently active cases, and 35 deaths.
