PIMA – Once a Roughrider, always a Roughrider.

Standout Pima basketball player Saydee Allred signed her letter of commitment to attend school and play basketball for Yavapai College on Thursday during an intimate ceremony in the Pima High School gymnasium.

Hometown fans won’t have much to change to cheer for as Yavapai’s mascot is also the Roughriders, but the green color of the uniforms will likely throw them for a twirl.

Yavapai is located in Prescott and plays in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC), which means they will face Eastern Arizona College.

Saydee helped lead the Pima Roughriders to back-to-back state championships and was named the 2A Conference Player of the Year in 2022.

Saydee is the No. 7-overall ranked guard in Arizona per Max Preps and averaged 16.7 points per game her senior year, along with 4.7 rebounds, 3.8 steals, 1.9 assists, and .3 blocks per game.
