GLOBE — The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers that the pavement rehabilitation project along U.S. Highway 60 in Globe is now complete.
The project spanned a two-mile section of U.S. Highway 60 between Santee Street and U.S. Highway 70 (mileposts 250–252). Work originally began in late August 2025 to improve overall pavement conditions and update roadway safety elements to current standards.
Key improvements completed as part of the rehabilitation project include:
- Removing and replacing the top layer of asphalt (milling and repaving)
- Repairing existing bridge decks
- Upgrading sidewalks and curb access ramps
- Repairing and replacing guardrails
- Applying a protective fog coat over the roadway
- Installing new pavement markings and related infrastructure
